Steelite’s Got Talent
3 November 2009
Steelite International’s recent initiative, not only proved great fun for all, but also raised £600 for a worthy cause. The Staffordshire based company held a talent competition based on the popular ITV show Britain’s Got Talent amongst employees to raise funds for their appointed charity the Make a Wish Foundation UK.
The competition even crossed the Atlantic with the Steelite International USA team providing an act via video submission. Judges included CEO Kevin Oakes, mimicking judge Simon Cowell, along with Amy Phillips (Management Accounts) who took on the persona of Amanda Holden and Andrew Klimecki (Head of Design and Product Innovation) who took on the role of Piers Morgan.
The event was organised internally by Jackie Evans (Global Services and Supply Manager) and all acts were in with a chance of winning the £250 grand prize.
Kevin Oakes, CEO of Steelite International comments: “Steelite’s Got Talent was a great success and an excellent night which brought everyone within Steelite International together whilst raising funds for the Make a Wish Foundation UK.”
