Local tableware manufacturer Steelite International, has supplied over 1,800 pieces of crockery as part of the £16million refurbishment of Birmingham's prestigious Crowne Plaza hotel.
Steelite International has supplied 300 covers of its stunning new Spyro embossed tableware range. The crockery will be used in the new front-facing hotel restaurant and bar, which is undergoing a dramatic transformation to create a desirable new destination for guests and visitors.
Due for completion in September, the extensive project to renovate the Crowne Plaza Birmingham City Centre will also see the creation of a dedicated conferencing floor with 11 meeting rooms. These will include the Vista Suite that will offer panoramic views over the city and that will accommodate up to 180 delegates for banqueting or 300 in theatre-style seating.
Business travellers will enjoy additional luxury and exclusive lounge access on the hotel's two Club floors, which are ideally suited to the hotel's location in the heart of Birmingham's business district.
Spyro is one of Steelite International's newest tableware ranges. Inspired by the British 'Op Art' movement, the highly contemporary design features a unique embossment that catches the light to create a captivating 3D optical effect of highlights and shadows. Spyro is already award-winning, having scooped a prestigious industry award in the USA Foodservice Equipment Reports' Smallwares & Tabletop competition.
