FutureChef 2009

FutureChef 2009, supported by Steelite International, has had another fantastic year.

Organised by the Springboard Charitable Trust, the 2009 FutureChef competition has once again been a huge success, with more than 7,000 children aged 12-16 entering the competition from across the country.

Welsh 15 year old, Luke Thomas, won the coveted first place having wowed judges with his culinary skills and menu choice.

Luke received some fantastic prizes included an all-expenses-paid trip to Rome, as well as a commemorative plate courtesy of Steelite International.

FutureChef Chairman, Brian Turner, said; “this competition gives young people a wonderful insight into this fabulous industry”.
